Max and Muschi's Magic Mountain Mysteries

Reiner is working on an illustrated children's book. The story, set in a magical alpine animal kingdom, explores the concepts of honesty, integrity, and compassion.

Below, check out the first in a series of planned animated videos as world building exercises.

Chapter One: The Melancholy Monarch

Chapter One in a series of animated world building exercises to develop a series of illustrated children's books set in a Magical Alpine Kingdom that follow the adventures of sweet and thoughtful Max and his sassy sister, Muschi. Images and animations were generated by Midjourney and Runway; the music was created by Suno.

Catoctin Furnace Living History Festival

Iron Will will return to Catoctin Furnace as part of the Iron Festival in May 2026. Set in October 1780, this year's play will explore the story of a diverse group of immigrants and slaves forging weapons for the American Revolutionary Government.

The Embers of War

Reiner's next literary project is a fantasy/sci-fi trilogy titled, Twilight of the Mountain Gods. The novel that comprises Part I will be The Embers of War. Still in the world-building phase, the first novel should be published by the end of the decade. Long-term plans include a graphic novel for each of the books in the trilogy.
