2025 will mark the inaugural production of the Catoctin Furnace Living History Festival. A site-specific, immersive theater production, the festival will run from Friday, September 12, through Sunday, September 14, with a preview performance on Thursday, September 11. Set in October 1780, this year's play will explore the story of a diverse group of immigrants and slaves forging weapons for the American Revolutionary Government. This event is made possible by a generous grant from Visit Frederick. As producer and co-director, Reiner is responsible for writing, directing, performing, fundraising, planning, and organizing.
Reiner is working on an illustrated children's book. The story, set in a magical alpine animal kingdom, explores the concepts of honesty, integrity, and compassion.
Reiner's next literary project is a fantasy/sci-fi trilogy titled, Twilight of the Mountain Gods. The novel that comprises Part I will be The Embers of War. Still in the world-building phase, the first novel should be published by the end of the decade. Long-term plans include a graphic novel for each of the books in the trilogy.
